Adjustable operation speed

Types of AC Motors
Two primary types of AC motors include synchronous and induction.
- Synchronous - In this type of motor the rotation of the rotor and the frequency of the supply current are synchronized, allowing the speed to remain constant under varying loads. This type of motor is often used in robots, machine and process control and instrumentation.
- Induction - Also known as asynchronous, induction motors use induction from the magnetic field of the stator winding to create an electric current in the rotor. These are most often used in pumps, conveyor belt systems and lifting machines, such as escalators.
